Hoogvliet
Hoogvliet is a district in the municipality of Rotterdam, in the province of South Holland, the Netherlands. It is located in the southern part of Rotterdam and forms one of the city’s residential districts. The area developed from a small village along the river and began to grow during the 20th century, with substantial expansion after World War II as Rotterdam expanded outward. Hoogvliet remained a separate municipality for a period before its incorporation into Rotterdam; today it is an administrative district within the city.
