Hoogdrukcentra
Hoogdrukcentra, also known as high-pressure areas or anticyclones, are regions in the Earth's atmosphere characterized by a surplus of air mass. This surplus leads to atmospheric pressure at the surface being significantly higher than in surrounding areas. In the Northern Hemisphere, winds around a high-pressure system generally circulate clockwise, while in the Southern Hemisphere, they circulate counter-clockwise.
The descending air within a high-pressure system is typically associated with fair and stable weather conditions.
High-pressure systems move across the globe, influencing weather patterns for extended periods. Their speed and trajectory
