Honduran

Honduran is the demonym for people from Honduras, a country in Central America. The term can also describe things related to Honduras, such as its culture, language, or institutions.

Honduras is bordered by Guatemala to the northwest, El Salvador to the southwest, Nicaragua to the southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the north, and the Pacific Ocean via the Gulf of Fonseca to the south. The country's name comes from the Spanish Honduras, meaning "depths" or "deep water," a reference cited by early Spanish explorers to the coast's waters.

Spanish is the official and predominant language. Indigenous languages such as Garifuna and Miskito are spoken in coastal areas, and English is used in parts of the Bay Islands. The population is diverse, with a majority Mestizo, along with Indigenous and Afro-Honduran communities.
