AfroHonduran
Afro-Hondurans are Hondurans of African descent. They are primarily concentrated along the Caribbean coast of Honduras, with a significant population in the departments of Cortés, Atlántida, Colón, and Gracias a Dios. The majority of Afro-Hondurans are Garifuna, descendants of West African, Central African, and Island Carib people who were exiled to the island of St. Vincent by the British in the 18th century. From St. Vincent, they migrated to the Caribbean coasts of Central America, including Honduras, Belize, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
