Hlutverkalíkön
Hlutverkalíkön, often translated as agent-based models, are computational tools used to simulate the actions and interactions of autonomous agents, both individual and collective, in order to assess their effects on the system as a whole. These models are comprised of numerous "agents" that operate according to predefined rules. These agents can represent a wide range of entities, such as people, animals, cells, or even molecules. Each agent possesses certain characteristics and can make decisions based on its internal state and its perception of its environment and other agents. The interactions between these agents, governed by simple rules, can lead to complex emergent behavior at the macroscopic level.
The primary purpose of hlutverkalíkön is to understand how micro-level interactions give rise to macro-level phenomena.
