Hindamisobjektist is a term used in Estonian valuation practice to denote the object of a valuation assignment—the asset or property whose value is being determined. The hindamisobjekt can be tangible or intangible and may include real estate, equipment, a business enterprise, a financial instrument, or intellectual property. The precise object is defined in the valuation mandate and sets the scope for data collection, methods, and the final value conclusion.

Defining the hindamisobjekt involves describing its boundaries and rights. This includes legal ownership, any encumbrances, restrictions on use, and the physical or functional characteristics that affect value.
