Hillesums
Hillesums is a former municipality located in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It consisted of the villages of Hillesum, Bakkeveen, and Slompweg and covered an area of approximately 69 square kilometres. In 2001 the municipality merged with the nearby municipalities of Woudrichem, Geldermalsen, and Lingewaal to form the new municipality of West Betuwe. Today the name Hillesums is primarily used to refer to the historical district within the larger municipality.
