Hilldwellers

Hilldwellers is a broad term encompassing human populations who traditionally inhabit mountainous or hilly regions. These communities have developed distinct ways of life adapted to their specific environments, often characterized by rugged terrain, varied microclimates, and unique ecological resources.

Historically, hilldwelling peoples have often maintained a degree of cultural and political isolation due to geographical barriers.
