Hidrogénatomból

Hidrogénatomból refers to the hydrogen atom in Hungarian. A hydrogen atom is the smallest and simplest atom, consisting of a single proton in its nucleus and a single electron that orbits this nucleus. It is the most abundant chemical element in the universe, making up about 75% of all baryonic mass. In its most common isotope, protium, the nucleus is just a bare proton. Other isotopes of hydrogen include deuterium, which has a neutron in addition to the proton, and tritium, which has two neutrons.

The hydrogen atom plays a fundamental role in chemistry and physics. Its simple structure makes it a crucial model for understanding atomic theory, quantum mechanics, and chemical bonding. When a hydrogen atom loses its electron, it becomes a positively charged ion, H+, also known as a proton. Conversely, when it gains an electron, it forms a negatively charged ion, H-, called a hydride ion. The hydrogen atom can form chemical bonds with many other elements, leading to a vast array of compounds, most notably water (H2O). Its unique properties, such as its ability to exist in different isotopic forms and its role in nuclear fusion, underscore its significance in scientific research and technological applications.
