Hidegpárásítókat, or cold mist humidifiers, are devices designed to increase the humidity levels in an indoor environment. Unlike steam humidifiers that boil water to create mist, cold mist humidifiers use a fan or an ultrasonic disc to break water into fine droplets, which are then released into the air. This process consumes less energy than boiling water.

There are two primary types of cold mist humidifiers: evaporative and ultrasonic. Evaporative humidifiers draw dry air through a wet wick or filter, causing the water to evaporate and increase the moisture content of the air. Ultrasonic humidifiers utilize a high-frequency vibrating diaphragm or disc that atomizes water into a cool mist.

Cold mist humidifiers are generally considered safer than steam humidifiers, especially in households with children or pets, as they do not produce hot steam. They can help alleviate symptoms associated with dry air, such as dry skin, irritated nasal passages, and static electricity. However, it is crucial to maintain these devices properly by cleaning them regularly to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria, which could then be dispersed into the air. Using distilled or demineralized water is also recommended to reduce mineral buildup and prevent the release of fine white dust into the room.
