Heteroderasuvun is a plant-parasitic nematode species in the family Heteroderidae, order Tylenchida. It is a cyst-forming nematode that infects the roots of several crops and legumes, forming protective cysts that contain eggs. The life cycle comprises egg hatching in soil, juvenile nematodes invading root tissue, establishing a feeding site, and maturing to adults that produce cysts on the roots or in the soil.

Hosts include major legume crops and other dicotyledonous species common in temperate agriculture. Infected plants often exhibit stunted growth, chlorosis, and reduced yields. Root systems may show necrotic lesions and reduced feeder root density, while cysts become visible on roots or in the surrounding soil, aiding field diagnosis.

Diagnosis relies on a combination of soil and root sampling, cyst morphology, and molecular assays identifying species-specific DNA sequences. Management focuses on long-term strategies such as crop rotation to non-hosts, deployment of resistant cultivars if available, sanitation measures, and the careful, regulatory use of nematicides.

Geographic distribution is reported in temperate agricultural regions across North America and parts of Europe, with distribution tied to crop production and soil conditions. Heteroderasuvun was described in taxonomic surveys conducted in recent decades, and its distinction from related Heterodera species is based on morphological and molecular traits.
