Hermopolitan
Hermopolitan refers to a person or thing associated with Hermopolis, an ancient Egyptian city. Hermopolis, whose ancient name was Hmun, was a significant religious and administrative center in Middle Egypt. Its importance is largely due to its role as the cult center of Thoth, the god of wisdom, writing, and the moon. The city's population would have been the inhabitants of Hermopolis itself, and by extension, people associated with its religious or administrative functions.
In the context of ancient Egypt, "Hermopolitan" can also describe art, architecture, or religious practices that
