Heiligsprechung

Heiligsprechung, also known as beatification, is a process in the Catholic Church by which a deceased person who led a life of heroic virtue is declared blessed. This step is an essential part of the path towards sainthood in Catholic theology. The process involves a thorough investigation into the person's life, including their teachings, miracles, and reputation for holiness.

The Heiligsprechung process typically begins with a petition to the bishop of the diocese where the person lived and died.
