Hebed
Hebed, also known as *Eclipta prostrata*, is a creeping herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, including parts of Asia, Europe, and North America. The plant typically grows in moist, disturbed areas such as rice paddies, roadsides, and wastelands. Hebed has a sprawling habit, with slender, hairy stems that can reach lengths of up to 75 centimeters. Its leaves are opposite, lanceolate, and toothed, with a hairy surface. The plant produces small, white, daisy-like flower heads that are borne in the leaf axils. These flower heads are composed of ray florets and disc florets. The fruit is a small achene.
Historically, hebed has been used in traditional medicine systems, particularly in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.
