HbHämatokrit refers to the hemoglobin hematocrit, a measurement used in medical diagnostics. Hematocrit itself, often abbreviated as Hct, is the percentage by volume of packed red blood cells in the blood. Hemoglobin (Hb) is the protein in red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Therefore, HbHämatokrit combines these two crucial indicators.

This measurement is typically determined through a blood test. A small sample of blood is drawn, and then centrifuged to separate the red blood cells from the plasma.
