Harrisburg
Harrisburg is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, located along the Susquehanna River in south-central Pennsylvania and the county seat of Dauphin County. Portions extend into Cumberland and Perry counties. As of the 2020 census, the city had about 50,000 residents. It anchors the Harrisburg metropolitan area, part of the larger Harrisburg–Carlisle region.
Founded as a trading post by John Harris in 1719, Harrisburg became the state capital in 1812.
