Halidegroepen

Halidegroepen refers to a family of chemical compounds that contain at least one halogen atom. Halogens are elements from Group 17 of the periodic table, which include fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine. These elements are highly reactive due to their tendency to gain an electron to achieve a stable electron configuration.

In organic chemistry, halidegroepen are commonly known as organohalides or halogenated hydrocarbons. In these compounds, a halogen atom is bonded to a carbon atom.
