Halicarnasso
Halicarnasso is an ancient Greek city located in Caria, on the coast of modern-day Turkey. It was founded by Dorian Greeks, and later became a significant port and cultural center. The city is most famous for being the birthplace of Herodotus, the renowned historian, and for being home to the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
