Hakapeliitat
The Hakapeliitat were Finnish light cavalry units that played a significant role in Swedish military history, particularly during the Thirty Years' War. They were renowned for their speed, shock tactics, and distinctive Hussar-style uniforms, often featuring a fur-lined dolman and a tall, fur-topped hat. The term "Hakapeliitta" itself is believed to derive from the battle cry "Hakkaa päälle!" which translates to "Hack them down!"
