HDMIHDBaseT
HDMIHDBaseT refers to the integration of HDBaseT technology with HDMI connectivity. HDBaseT is a global standard for transmitting uncompressed ultra-high-definition video and audio, Ethernet, control signals, and power over a single, long-distance Cat5e/6/6a cable. When combined with HDMI, HDBaseT allows for the transmission of high-definition signals, including 4K video, from an HDMI source to a display or receiver without signal loss or degradation over extended distances. Typically, HDMI signals are limited in length, often requiring signal boosters or extenders that can introduce latency or reduce quality. HDBaseT overcomes this limitation, enabling seamless transmission of HDMI content across hundreds of feet. This integration is commonly found in professional audio-visual installations, home theaters, and commercial environments where long cable runs are necessary for connecting devices like Blu-ray players, computers, or media servers to projectors or televisions. The technology simplifies installations by reducing the number of cables required, consolidating video, audio, data, and power into one.
