It refers to the set of physicochemical and biological properties of a molecule that determine its suitability as a drug. This concept is crucial in drug discovery and development, as it helps predict whether a compound has the potential to be an effective and safe therapeutic agent.

Key factors contributing to gyógyszerképesség include molecular size and weight, lipophilicity (logP), solubility, permeability across biological membranes, metabolic stability, and toxicity. These properties influence how a drug is absorbed, distributed, metabolized, and excreted (ADME) in the body, as well as its potential to bind to its target and elicit a therapeutic effect.
