Gygaxs
Gygaxs, also known as Gygax's, is a term used to refer to the various editions of the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game that were created and published by Gary Gygax. The term is often used to distinguish these editions from the later editions of the game, which were published by TSR, Inc. and Wizards of the Coast. The first edition of Dungeons & Dragons, published in 1974, is often referred to as "Gygax's 1st Edition" or simply "Gygax's 1st." This edition introduced many of the core mechanics and concepts that would become staples of the game, such as the use of dice, character classes, and the concept of a Dungeon Master. Subsequent editions, such as Gygax's 2nd Edition and Gygax's 3rd Edition, were also published by Gygax and his company, TSR, Inc. These editions built upon the foundation of the first edition, introducing new rules and mechanics, as well as new character classes and races. Gygaxs are known for their emphasis on storytelling and player agency, and for their use of a modular system for creating and running adventures. The term "Gygaxs" is often used by fans and critics to refer to the editions of the game that were created by Gary Gygax and his company, TSR, Inc. It is important to note that the term "Gygaxs" is not an official term used by Wizards of the Coast, the current publisher of Dungeons & Dragons. Instead, it is a term used by fans and critics to refer to the editions of the game that were created by Gary Gygax and his company.
