Gurjara
Gurjara is an ancient term used to describe a regional people and realm in northwestern India, as well as the dynastic name associated with those communities. In historical sources, Gurjara refers to a western Indian population and to the political entities that arose from or were described as their successors. The term is encountered in inscriptions and literary texts from late antiquity through the medieval period, and it is sometimes linked with the broader historical region that roughly includes present-day Gujarat and parts of Rajasthan.
