Grímas

Grímas is a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel *The Lord of the Rings*. He is a loyal servant and companion to King Théoden of Rohan. Grímas is often portrayed as a wizened and subservient figure, initially appearing helpful but later revealed to be an agent of Saruman.

Grímas's true nature is that of a spy and a manipulative influence. Under Saruman's sway, he weakens Théoden's will through subtle suggestion and poison, effectively isolating the king and hindering Rohan's ability to resist Saruman's growing power. His presence at court is one of subtle corruption, creating an atmosphere of distrust and despair.

When Gandalf arrives and breaks Saruman's spell over Théoden, Grímas's deception is exposed. He is dismissed from Théoden's service and eventually flees to Isengard, the stronghold of Saruman. His ultimate fate is a tragic one, as he is killed by the Orcs of Isengard after Saruman's defeat. Grímas serves as a cautionary example of betrayal and the corrupting influence of dark powers.
