Graftvaten
Graftvaten is a term used in medical contexts to refer to the blood vessels that are part of or connected to a graft. In organ transplantation, graft vessels specifically describe the donor’s arteries and veins that must be surgically connected to the recipient’s circulatory system to restore blood flow to the transplanted organ. In vascular surgery and reconstructive procedures, the term can also apply to graft conduits that replace or bypass diseased vessels, including autologous vessels (such as the saphenous vein) and synthetic grafts (such as Dacron or ePTFE).
