Gopanna
Gopanna was a 12th-century Indian music composer, widely recognized as the epithet given by Telugu music tradition to Tyagaraja, a famous vocalist and songwriter. According to historical accounts, Gopanna was a peshkova or government Employment officer during the rule of the Kakatiya kingdom, which existed from the 12th to the 14th century AD. He was born in Tiruvarur, a region known for its musical legacy, particularly in the Carnatic music tradition.
