GodVishnu

Vishnu is a principal deity in Hinduism, widely revered as the preserver and protector of the universe. He is one of the three main deities in the Trimurti, alongside Brahma the creator and Shiva the destroyer. Vishnu is often depicted with four arms, holding a conch shell, a discus, a mace, and a lotus flower. His consort is Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Devotees believe that Vishnu incarnates himself in various forms, known as avatars, to restore dharma and protect the world from evil. The most well-known avatars include Rama, the hero of the Ramayana, and Krishna, a central figure in the Mahabharata. Other significant avatars include Matsya (fish), Kurma (tortoise), Varaha (boar), Narasimha (man-lion), Vamana (dwarf), Parashurama, and Buddha. The Kalki avatar is prophesied to appear at the end of the current age.

The worship of Vishnu is widespread throughout India and beyond, with numerous temples dedicated to him. His followers engage in various devotional practices, including chanting his names, reciting mantras, offering prayers, and observing fasts. The Bhagavad Gita, a revered scripture, features a dialogue between the warrior Arjuna and the avatar Krishna, offering profound philosophical and spiritual teachings. Vishnu represents cosmic order, righteousness, and divine grace.
