Glükózkoncentráció refers to the amount of glucose present in a given volume of a biological fluid, most commonly blood. Glucose is a simple sugar and the primary source of energy for the body's cells. Measuring glucose concentration is crucial for diagnosing and managing various health conditions, particularly diabetes mellitus.

Normal blood glucose levels vary depending on factors like the time of day and whether a meal has been consumed. Generally, fasting blood glucose levels in healthy individuals are between 70 to 100 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL). After eating, levels typically rise but should return to normal within two hours.

Elevated blood glucose levels, known as hyperglycemia, can indicate diabetes or prediabetes.
