GleichizerD

GleichizerD is a cross-platform audio processing application and plugin framework designed to enable real-time equalization and tone shaping for music production, broadcast, and live sound. It combines a digital signal processing engine with both parametric and graphic interfaces, supporting multi-channel equalization and advanced filtering options.

Developed as an open-source project, GleichizerD began in 2020 with contributions from volunteer developers in the wider audio software community. The project is hosted on a public repository and distributed under the MIT license, inviting forks, experiments, and community-driven improvements.

Core features include multi-band parametric EQ with adjustable gain and Q, shelves, and bell filters; a graphic EQ mode; dynamic EQ and mid/side processing; a real-time spectrum analyzer and visualization; side-chaining and external key inputs; and support for multiple plugin formats.

The architecture centers on a modular DSP core written in C++, designed for low-latency operation and multi-core optimization. GleichizerD offers both a standalone application and plugin formats compatible with VST3, AU, and LV2, enabling integration with common DAWs.

Available on Windows, macOS, and Linux, GleichizerD is used by independent producers and small studios. It has an active user community that shares presets and skins, though some users note a steep learning curve for advanced features.
