Geodéziának

Geodéziának is the Hungarian term for geodesy, the scientific discipline that deals with the measurement and representation of the Earth. It is concerned with the Earth's geometric shape, its orientation in space, and its gravity field. Geodesy is a fundamental science that underpins many other disciplines, including cartography, surveying, navigation, and earth sciences.

The practice of geodesy involves a variety of techniques and technologies. Historically, it relied on methods like triangulation and leveling. Modern geodesy utilizes advanced technologies such as satellite positioning systems (like GPS, GLONASS, Galileo), satellite altimetry, gravimetry, and interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR).
