Genotyypit
Genotyypit refers to the genetic makeup of an individual organism. It encompasses the complete set of genes that an organism carries, as well as its alleles. Alleles are different versions of the same gene. For example, a gene for eye color might have alleles for brown eyes and blue eyes. The specific combination of alleles an individual possesses at each gene locus constitutes their genotype.
Genotypes are distinct from phenotypes, which are the observable physical or biochemical characteristics of an organism.
Genotypes can be homozygous or heterozygous. A homozygous genotype means an individual has two identical alleles
