Genitivbildung
Genitivbildung refers to the process of forming the genitive case in German. The genitive case, often translated as "of the," indicates possession, origin, or relationship. In German, genitive formation primarily affects nouns and pronouns.
For masculine and neuter nouns in the singular, genitive is typically formed by adding an -s to
Feminine nouns in the singular and all plural nouns do not add an -s in the genitive.
Personal pronouns also have distinct genitive forms. For example, "ich" (I) becomes "meiner" (of me), "du" (you)
