Gemetría

Gemetría is a term that does not have a single, widely accepted definition in major reference works. In practice, its meaning depends on context, and it may reflect a misspelling or a neologism rather than a established discipline. Some uses of gemetría may intend gematría, the numerological system that assigns numerical values to letters to reveal hidden connections in words or texts. Others may treat gemetría as a misspelling of geometría, the branch of mathematics dealing with shapes, spaces and their properties. In other cases, authors may coin gemetría to describe a speculative field that combines aspects of gemology or gemology-inspired imagery with geometric concepts, though such usage is not standardized.

Gematría, when referred to in Spanish or other languages, is a traditional practice with roots in Jewish mysticism. It seeks to interpret linguistic or textual meaning by calculating numerical values of letters and examining relationships between numbers and words.
