Gaza-Israel refers to the political and security relationship between the Gaza Strip and Israel, within the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Gaza Strip is a Palestinian territory along the Mediterranean coast, about 365 square kilometers in area, with a densely packed population of around 2 million people, many of whom are refugees from the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. It borders Israel to the north and east, Egypt to the south, and the sea to the west.
