Gateportals
Gateportals is a term used in science fiction and speculative fiction to describe a device, phenomenon, or network that creates a doorway between distant locations, allowing travel without conventional propulsion. In many depictions, a gateportal consists of two or more linked portals: an origin gate and a destination gate. Travelers pass through one gate and materialize at the other, with the intervening space bypassed. Some narratives use gateportals as part of a broader portal network, where routes are mapped, authorized, and can require navigation or permissions.
