Gasthrough

Gasthrough refers to the phenomenon where a gas can pass through a solid material. This process is distinct from effusion, which occurs through a small hole, and diffusion, which typically describes the movement of gases within a mixture. Gasthrough is most commonly observed in materials that are not entirely impermeable to gases, such as certain polymers, membranes, or even some types of rock.
