Gandhidham
Gandhidham is a city in the Kutch district of the Indian state of Gujarat. It is located on the Gulf of Kutch, approximately 200 kilometers north of the state capital, Ahmedabad. The city is named after Mahatma Gandhi, the prominent Indian independence activist, who visited the region in 1921 and was deeply moved by the poverty and hardships faced by the local population. In 1947, Gandhi returned to the area and established a village called Sevagram, which later became the nucleus of Gandhidham.
