Gammaemissioisia
Gammaemissioisia refers to the process by which certain atomic nuclei release energy in the form of gamma rays. Gamma rays are a type of electromagnetic radiation with very high energy and short wavelengths. This emission typically occurs after a nucleus has undergone radioactive decay, such as alpha or beta decay, leaving it in an excited, unstable state. To return to a more stable, lower energy configuration, the nucleus releases the excess energy as a gamma photon.
The energy of the emitted gamma ray is specific to the particular nuclear transition. Each radioisotope has
Gamma rays are highly penetrating and can travel significant distances through matter. They interact with matter
