Gagarina

Gagarina is a small village located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is situated approximately 20 kilometers east of the city of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. The village is named after the famous Soviet cosmonaut, Valentina Tereshkova, who is known as "Gagarina" in Russian, after the first human spaceflight, Vostok 6, in 1963.

The village was established in the late 1960s as part of a larger settlement project aimed at providing housing for the growing population of Kazan. Gagarina is known for its residential nature, with a mix of Soviet-era apartment buildings and newer constructions.
