GMIT

GMIT, also known as Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, is a third-level educational institution in Ireland. It originated from the merger of the Galway RTC and the Mayo RTC in 1997. GMIT offers a wide range of programs, from certificate and higher certificate courses to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees across various disciplines. These include business, computing, engineering, tourism, humanities, and creative arts.

The institute has multiple campuses located in Galway City, Castlebar, and Letterfrack. Its main campus in Galway is divided into two sites: the Dublin Road campus, focusing on engineering, IT, and business, and the Clifden Road campus, housing the Centre for Creative Arts and the Galway Business School. The Castlebar campus in County Mayo offers programs in business, IT, and nursing, while the Letterfrack campus, known as the National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Wood Technology, is renowned for its specialized design courses.
