Fúrógép

Fúrógép is a Hungarian term that translates to "drilling machine" or "drill press" in English. It refers to a stationary or portable power tool used for creating holes in various materials, most commonly wood, metal, and plastic. The fundamental principle of a fúrógép involves rotating a drill bit at high speeds to cut and remove material.

There are several types of fúrógép. A handheld electric drill, often called a "kannás fúrógép" or "akkumulátoros fúrógép" if battery-powered, is versatile for general-purpose drilling tasks. Benchtop drill presses, or "asztali fúrógép," are more robust and offer greater precision for repetitive drilling operations. Larger floor-standing drill presses, known as "állványos fúrógép," provide even more stability and power for heavy-duty work.

The operation of a fúrógép typically involves securing the workpiece, selecting the appropriate drill bit for the material and desired hole size, and then engaging the motor to initiate the drilling process. Safety precautions, such as wearing eye protection, are always recommended when operating a fúrógép. These machines are essential tools in workshops, construction sites, and many DIY projects.
