Fényválasz

Fényválasz is a Hungarian term that translates directly to "light response." It generally refers to the phenomenon of light interacting with a substance or system, resulting in a measurable output. This interaction can take many forms, including absorption, reflection, scattering, or emission of light.

In physics and chemistry, fényválasz is a fundamental concept. For instance, the fényválasz of a material describes how it behaves when illuminated. A highly reflective material has a strong fényválasz in terms of reflection, bouncing back most of the incident light. Conversely, a material with high absorption has a fényválasz where light energy is converted into other forms, like heat. Luminescent materials exhibit a fényválasz by emitting light after absorbing energy from an external source, a process known as photoluminescence.
