Färgnyans
Färgnyans, often translated as hue, is a fundamental attribute of color. It refers to the pure spectrum colors that we perceive, such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. Think of it as the color's name. While we commonly use these basic names, färgnyans can also describe subtle variations within these categories. For instance, a slightly reddish blue would still be considered blue in terms of its primary färgnyans, but the red component modifies it.
Färgnyans is distinct from saturation and brightness, though all three contribute to our perception of a color.
