Fresnelilait
Fresnelilait is a rare phosphate mineral with the chemical formula NaCaMg2(PO4)3. It is a member of the monazite supergroup and is characterized by its monoclinic crystal system. The mineral was first discovered in 2012 from the Fregat meteorite, which fell in the Urals region of Russia in 1987. Its name honors Augustin-Jean Fresnel, a pioneer in the study of light and optics.
The typical appearance of fresnelilait is as small, irregularly shaped grains. It often occurs in association
