Foundables

Foundables is a term used within the augmented reality mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. It refers to magical artifacts, creatures, traces of magic, or even characters from the wizarding world that have been displaced and are scattered across the real world map within the game. Players, known as wizards and witches, are tasked with finding and returning these Foundables to the magical world to prevent them from being discovered by Muggles.

Foundables are categorized by their magical strength and rarity. When a player encounters a Foundable on their in-game map, they can tap on it to initiate a magical trace encounter. This involves a mini-game where players must trace a specific magical symbol on their screen using their finger. Successfully completing the trace allows the player to collect the Foundable. Different Foundables require varying levels of magical energy, known as Spell Energy, to collect.

Collecting Foundables is a core mechanic of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. It contributes to advancing the player's progression, earning experience points, and unlocking rewards. Each Foundable belongs to a specific Registry page, which is a collection of related items. Completing a Registry page by collecting all its associated Foundables grants the player significant in-game bonuses and achievements. The variety of Foundables ensures that players are constantly engaged in exploring their surroundings and utilizing their in-game spells.
