Formulation

Formulation, in a scientific and industrial context, refers to the process of creating a final product by combining various ingredients or components according to a specific recipe or design. It involves selecting the appropriate ingredients, determining their optimal proportions, and choosing the right processing methods to achieve desired properties and performance characteristics in the final product.

The goals of formulation can vary depending on the application. They may include enhancing efficacy or activity of a key ingredient, improving stability and shelf-life, controlling the release rate of an active substance, modifying physical properties like texture or viscosity, and optimizing cost-effectiveness.
