Formsball
Formsball is a term used in fictional or speculative contexts to describe a morphing ball that changes shape under player control. In its core concept, a formsball is a compact object whose geometry can be transformed between selectable forms—such as a sphere, cube, dodecahedron, and torus—while its mass remains effectively constant. The morphing operation is governed by an in-game energy gauge; when the player allocates energy, the ball shifts to a different form, altering its moment of inertia, surface friction, and bounce behavior.
In puzzle and platform contexts, formsball exploits the relationship between shape and physics: a sharp-edged form
