Formaatidena

Formaatidena is an Estonian term that means “as formats” or “in the form of formats.” It is the translative form of the plural noun formaat (format) and is used to express that something is presented, supplied, or described in multiple formats.

In usage, formaatidena indicates the state or role of items when they are considered or used as different formats. It commonly appears in technical, administrative, or publishing contexts where documents, data, or media are provided in several formats. The construction typically follows a verb of presentation or submission, such as esitada (to submit) or anda (to provide).

Formaatidena is formed from formaatid- (the plural stem of formaat) plus the translative suffix -ena, yielding the sense “as formats.” The singular counterpart is formaatina (“as a format”). These forms align with Estonian patterns for expressing state or role using the translative case.
