Forbrukerkjøp is a Norwegian legal term referring to a purchase made by a consumer from a business. This legal framework is primarily governed by the Forbrukerkjøpsloven (Consumer Purchase Act). The purpose of this law is to protect consumers by providing them with certain rights and remedies when purchasing goods or services from professional sellers.

Key aspects of Forbrukerkjøp include regulations on defects, delivery, and the consumer's right to complain. If a product is found to have a defect that was present at the time of purchase, the consumer generally has the right to demand repair, replacement, a price reduction, or cancellation of the contract, depending on the circumstances. The seller is obligated to provide a product that conforms to the contract and is free from defects.
