Flernivåtilnærminger

Flernivåtilnærminger, often translated as multilevel approaches or hierarchical linear modeling, is a statistical framework used to analyze data that has a hierarchical or nested structure. This means that observations are grouped within higher-level units. For example, students might be nested within classrooms, and classrooms within schools. Ignoring this nested structure can lead to inaccurate statistical inferences.

The core idea of flernivåtilnærminger is to simultaneously model variation at different levels of the hierarchy. It allows researchers to examine how individual-level outcomes are influenced by both individual characteristics and characteristics of the groups to which they belong.
